Figs are transformed into jam, marmalade or chutney, garnish pies and are also used as sorbet. Dry figs are one of the thirteen Christmas desserts of the Provençal tradition. They are found in Moroccan tagines, pastillas and foie gras terrines.

The fig leaves, very fragrant, are used for cooking in foil.
