The chard chops are cooked in a white, in salted boiling water or steamed. The chard greens are drizzled in olive oil with a fork pierced with garlic.

Swiss chard chops are best served with cream, gratin, glazed, accompanied by a hollandaise sauce, or even with tomatoes. Chard greens can be served plain as an accompaniment to meat, chopped in a stuffing or in a pie (sweet or savory).
