Abondance Cheese Tart:
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of pre-made puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups of grated Abondance cheese
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees CĀ (425 degrees F).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Place the pastry in a 9-inch tart pan, pressing it firmly into the bottom and sides.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix together the grated Abondance cheese, heavy cream, eggs, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the cheese mixture into the pastry-lined tart pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs such as thyme or rosemary for added flavor (optional)
